JAF Announces Latest Acquisition

JAF is excited to announce the acquisition of John Marshall Gamble’s (1863-1957) Poppies and Lupines (1912) for its collection. Gamble was a giant among the early California Impressionists, and having this artist our collection is an important step toward establishing one of the finest plein air collections on the West Coast. This acquisition would not have been possible without the support of JAF's Circles membership.

JAF Adds Andy Warhol Print to Its Collection

The Jonathan Art Foundation is proud to announce an exciting new addition to its collection at the Jonathan Beach Club. Sunset, a 1972 screenprint by Andy Warhol (1928-1987), was purchased with major funding by Elizabeth Van Denburgh in honor of her mother Betty Van Denburgh, and will act as the anchor tenant to upgrade the Beach Club's contemporary art collection.

JAF Thanks Its Circles Members

The Jonathan Art Foundation extends its appreciation to its members of the 2019 Circles of Support, whose contributions allow us to continue our mission to care for and exhibit wonderful works of California art, and preserve the historical perspective of California’s influential role in American Impressionism.

Circles members get treated to exclusive tours of elite private collections and exhibitions, Art & Wine events, and other interesting speakers and venues.
