The Jonathan Art Foundation Board is looking forward to 2017 and the amazing upcoming JAF Circles Of Support member events we have planned.
In January, JAF Circles members can look forward to a private tour of the extensive art collection at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, "A Century of California Landscapes." Formed in 1982, the collection now consists of 300 paintings, photographs, works on paper and wall sculptures from 1860 to the present. These pieces trace the changing California environment as portrayed by artists from each decade and provide a special view of California’s history and artistic heritage. The 100-year historical perspective provides flexibility in choosing works and styles ranging from plein air paintings to modern and contemporary images.
JAF’s Circles of Support membership offers an expanded series of educational and entertaining events including leading speakers, art-themed evenings, the L.A. Art Show, and private visits to major art exhibitions, galleries, artist studios, and prominent private collections. You are also invited to the JAF Annual Dinner and Auction on March 25, 2017. Auction items will on this website for early bidding beginning the first week of February and at the Jonathan Beach Club in early March. The auction will include plein air landscapes by members of the California Art Club, photography, and a selection of luxury items. As always, we will have a Live Auction, which will include some crowd favorites, like the ten day cruise on Holland America Line and the South Africa photo safari package. Please save the date for this fantastic annual auction and dinner of fresh California cuisine paired with specially selected California wines.
